Hints for a Successful Search

Hint	Explanation
Check your spelling	If you have misspelled the word you are looking for, the entry may not be present in the index.
Check your menu selections	Make sure you have cleared any selections previously chosen in the pulldown menus if they do not apply to this search. Press the reset button to return all pulldown menus to their default positions.
Check your search menu	If you are performing Boolean queries (using 'and', 'or', brackets, etc) but you are not getting the results you expected, check to confirm that your search menu is in advanced search mode. If you are in simple search mode, Boolean operands will be ignored and all search terms will be matched using the Boolean operator 'and.' Change the mode to advanced search and re-try the search.
